The original version of TiVo Desktop (nee TiVo Publisher) didn't support video transfer -- it let users publish music and photos from their computer to their TiVo DVR.
The original interface was geared more toward techies than average consumers. To me, it looked like an FTP tool. It certainly didn't give many cues about what it really did. |
